This is a comparative project with colleagues in New Zealand, who have undergone a similar study among rural small towns. The project seeks to understand community perceptions of resilience, whether existing data capture these variations, and what potential differences may exist. The group discussion will be led by a non-biased moderator who will facilitate conversations and activities. The group will be made up of 10 to 12 adults over the age of 18 who have resided in Randolph for at least 1 year. The discussion will last about 2.5 hours. Participants must pre-register. As a way of thanking participants for their time, lunch will be provided at no cost, and each participant will receive $50 at the end of the discussion.
